Morocco - A 51-year-old Morocco resident died as result of an accident on U.S. 41 on Friday.
John O’Connell was traveling southbound on U.S. 41 at approximately 4 p.m. on a motorcycle.
He struck the rear of a semi trailer driven by Rensselaer resident, Kevin Stath, 40.
According to witnesses it was raining and O’Connell was driving at a high rate of speed at the time of the collision.
The investigation is ongoing with the Newton County Sheriff’s Department and Newton County Coroner’s Office. State of Indiana
