giveforwarders, I’m going to travel this summer , and I’ve been waiting a while for the right time, I’ve wanted to But the timing and finances just haven’t been right before. And no trip really “struck me” as being the one I was meant to go on before, and being around the u.s traveling for work !and i developped some street smarts during my stay with salvation army! lot of homeless, and lot of volunteers, showed up for dinner ,and spent rest of the day with " we are 99 percent" ... Hundreds of homeless, and hundreds of volunteers, showed up. Being that it's Spring Break there were perhaps more volunteers than homeless people. .....and im still thinkfull for the preacher daughter who offred me help to stay few weeks in their warm house in middle of snowy winter in ,NY...!! and a huge thanks to the couchsurf ppl in ohio,chicago,and kansas,and washignton ...etc . things has changed now, i moved to south ... I spend a lot of time reading, and since i coudnt keep any job ! ...expect taking care of my handicaped sweet wife ...and yes we still struggling to pay our engagement ring debt !!
I read a ton of blogs and feeds when I can. I found one this year that really resonated with me and began to read them regularly. Sure enough, this is where the mission trip originated !!with friends . .The travel is pretty straightforward: to pass it forward ! person helping other persons be real, be relevant, and be reliable. What does this mean exactly? I’m a regular guy trying hard to be a better man, better friend,.... I’m a firm believer in the power of small groups working together for the greater good. Here’s where things get interesting. I don’t have a problem volunteering to cook ,, or drive a bus, or help in the nursery, or teach english or a dozen other things that are painless. But going on a trip out of land of high crime, where animal sacrifices are occurrence , drugs wars ,smuggling, women enslaving ,...,takes place daily )That’s out of my comfort zone!! but I knew the minute I saw it that I was supposed to go see other places . As a faithful person , you try your best to do what’s right, Far from perfect am I, most days I couldn’t see perfectly through high powered binoculars, but I try. That being said, that’s how I knew I was supposed to go on this trip. Now we get to why I’ve written this. This is about an opportunity. You and we have an opportunity to be part of something bigger than ourselves. There are a lot of good causes out there. It would be the best cause in which to put your money, time, and prayer. Rather to partner with us in another step in my journey with God, and to be part of something amazing. If I have not lost you yet, just hang in for a minute or two and keep reading. i and a lebanon friend ,and kansasian ,and hebrew gal , we will be printing shirts, packing boxes full of sandals (courtesy of Beautiful Feet) and jackets and distributing them to village kids living in mountains.Many of these natives have nothing to protect their feet from needles, glass, cold ...etc. Next,then we will be heading to africa....(if we can fund flight tickets) If you’d like to help my journey and advance the Kingdom of heaven , , I invite you to share in this .
