How can a man who has zero say over the economy, justice, security and such make any material difference?? give him a slack would you ? On the other hand where he can score against the makhzen is by building on his direct and upfront, populist communication both at the governement level and his party's satelite offices so the moroccans have more insight and the next time ask for more...and more....think of NFL quarterbacks !!!

Mr. Taibi – Thank you for keeping us abreast of what’s happening in our beloved country… but don’t you think it’s a little premature to start chastising this new administration? Mr. Benkirane’s administration is still in its infancy – It just got elected few months ago (fair and square I might add) – So why not give it a chance to at least try to act on the agenda it just outlined? Mr. Benkirane’s speech was persuasive and uplifting. The goals he set forward are certainly attainable – Only If, instead of constant bickering, we unite and stand behind him and help him achieve these noble goals; which would benefit each and every Moroccan. This is not the time for doom and gloom or crying wolf. Morocco is READY for an upgrade right now!!! It’s our time to shine. I am sure Mr. Benkirane will face many hurdles in the process. If he figures out a way to tackle these imminent hiccups, he will succeed and get reelected. If he doesn’t, he will be booted out. It’s that simple – but we MUST give him a chance, and THEN judge him. Michelangelo Buonarroti once wrote: “The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it”

Please give the bearded guy a break. Mr Benkiran to my opinion is trying at least do some justice to the under dogs ( 90% of the Moroccans ) , and by blaming him for not having women in goverment is not fair , his party does have a woman minister and the writer should therefore address the other parties for failing to do so . As for the hand kissing thing, that is a mafia tradition , to show the allegiance to the big boss the godfather and nothing to do with being Amir al mooninin and the king does own more than half of the economy without paying any taxes!!! another mafia tradition , AL capone .

Mr AT, You may also be aware that there are many many Moroccans who would see that kissing that kid's hands, shoulders, jacket, fingers, whatever they can grab is an honor. When you are a subject of the king, you are a servant, and when you are a servant you are slave, and when you are slave, you follow your master's demands. This is a situation that many Moroccans do not mind to experience, as a matter of fact they thrive to be in such situation. They become proud and they will even be proud of kissing something that is part of the son of Amir al mouminine. After all, he is a descendant of the prophet, and what better person to kiss other than someone Koranic? Many in this board will attack anyone who says anything about the monarch or his kid. They have no shame.
