"My Morocco" Children Art Contest
- 10/31/08
Children with a personal connection to Morocco (children with Moroccan parents or grandparents, children who have visited or lived in Morocco ...etc) were invited to submit artwork on the theme “My Morocco”. The Kids, ages 4 and 12, drew upon their personal experiences living in and visiting Morocco, or family stories or traditions that illustrated what Morocco means to them.

This experience was good for the kids. All of them did a very good job and all of them won.
the only thing you need to do next time is use lottery to pick the name of the winner without hurting the other kids feeling

Those kids are very gifted and talented. They need all our support and encouragements.
The fact that the majority of those kids is Amazigh makes me very proud of my amazigh culture.
Good job Moroccoboard.

It's wonderful to see Moroccan kids enjoying their time with their family and friends. However, I want to point out the importance of teaching our kids about Islam. Morocco is a Muslim country and our duty is to spread this religion and teach it to everyone because it’s the truth. It is our job to hold on to this message. Readers need to see clearly signs of Islamic traditions. Unfortunately, looking at the pictures we can’t tell if the crown are Muslims or from the Caribbean’s!!
Here in the US we struggle in raising Muslim kids. The only way is the way of the messenger of Allah peace be upon him.
We should also teach them moderation in Islam and avoid extremism.
Thank you all for this wonderful event and May Allah bless you.

There is a french saying, it says " the apple has fallen and has rolled far from the tree"...
There is a tragedy in Morocco. The chleuh /rif / Tamazight is slowly disapearing... A 3000 year culture is being destroyed by cutting its roots.
We should stay together and built a Morrocan / Berberian, community. You should teach this to your kids along with your language and culture.
Please, I beg all Moroccan that understand what I'm saying... save our culture and language... Educate Our kids.

AZUL brother, our tamazighrt culture is not dying, on the opposite, we are present and I myself talk to my kids only tamazight and not Moroccan, go to the South or to the Ryaffa in the North or to the Center Zayanes and see how these people are proud of their culture and their language. Morocco is Amazigh and not Arab and it will forever be so.
