Don’t think of becoming a US ally. Most US allies are allies of Israel! Don’t think of becoming a president. Most presidents became kings over time! Don’t think of becomig a Salafist. Most Salafists love the past, hate the present, and know nothing about the future! Don’t think of becoming a politician. Most politicians are liars and hypocrites! Don’t think of becoming a police officer. Most police officers can’t arrest a minister’s son! Don’t think of becoming a soldier. Most soldiers are underpaid! Don’t think of becoming a teacher. Most teachers hate their brilliant students! Don’t think of becoming a writer. Most writers die after a long illness! Don’t think of becoming a blogger. Most bloggers post under a pseudonym! Don’t think of becoming a Comrade. Most Comrades are no longer against the bourgeoisie! Don’t think that disagreeing with somebody means you’re his/her enemy! Don’t think of marriage only when you are in dire need of sex! Don’t think like an American man though you write in English! Don’t forget to say “God willing” soon after arranging a rendezvous! Don’t forget that we seldom marry those we love! Don’t forget that with money you can buy blood, but not life! Don’t forget to re-read your old books! Don’t try to plant palm trees in Paris! Don’t try to change the world before trying to change yourself! Don’t try to build your future without the help of your past! Don’t whitewash the abuses of the past! Don’t trust your ears. Trust your eyes! Don’t listen to what makes you laugh. Listen to what makes you cry! Don’t marry the woman your parents choose for you! Don’t open the doors you can’t close! Don’t give alms to the rich! Don’t swallow what you can’t digest! Don’t find the woman when some problem takes place! Don’t shed tears on the dead! Don’t fight terrorism. Fight illiteracy and poverty! Don’t dream after getting up! Don’t love a woman at first sight. Most women have more than one face! Don’t love a man at first sight. Most men mean“ I want to sleep with you” whenever they say “I love you”! Don’t criticize your home while abroad! Don’t always pose who-questions. Pose why-questions from time to time! Don’t bang the drum for war. Bang the drum for peace and love! Don’t respect those who see respect as a sign of fear! Don’t laugh with those who see laughter as a sign of “you’re fine”! Don’t bark if you can’t bite! Don’t turn right or left. Go straight! Don’t mention your family name when introducing yourself! Don’t mix up between Israelis and Jews! Don’t stand for a long time.
