Commenting on "the maure" Improvements and new direct flights are setup due to a high demand. Supposing that the DC route is not a PR scam, and believing in what RAM have said, the DC--Casa line would be very profitable for RAM. if they start with only one flight each 15 days i'm confident it will be sold out containing american and moroccan visitors both ways. Another reason is flying from anywhere in US to DC is usually cheaper than to NYC, Miami, LA or Chicago; that is because DC has 3 major airports and being the capital, as a destination, the fares are always cheaper in major holidays and high season periods. On the other hand, Mr, Mrs or Miss "the maure", having direct line to other cities in morocco such as Fez, Meknes and Tangier will never happen. How many Meknessis do you think come to the US every year?? I'd predict around 200 max. The same apply for americans interested in Meknes. So you think an airline will assign a plane capable to cross the atlantic, with at least 200 seats, twice a month for example for only 400 people a year!!! I don't think so..lol. When our dear country lacks infrastructure and good transportation, don't start blaming companies. This is how we have been, are and always will be. Hence, by paying the train fare, you are helping your country. If you are not satisfied with 2nd class, pay 1st class, i guarantee you it's worthed; i've had a lot of travels in morocco by train. Moreover, if you have money, i'm sure RAM will make a special jet for you CASA---Meknes. As the saying goes, inside morocco, "you get what you pay for" Peace. |

RAM is evil RAM should be sold. Other carriers need to be allowed to compete for direct flights to and from Morocco. If Real Carriers, and by real carriers, I mean airlines that are not completely inefficient, and rude were to be allowed to compete with RAM, RAM would be out of business within a month. I would rather swim accross the Atlantic than deal with RAMs rude flight crews, pay their redicilously over priced fares, wait for hours for while their late flights come meandering in because some big shot was late to the airport because they were busy getting drunk with their mistress and overslept... I think you get the picture on RAM and everything associated with RAM, it is an embarassment to all Moroccans to have RAM associated with our great country. |

... all of ram staff in new york should be changed. they are not professional, arrogant and are clueless about customer service. From a customer service standpoint, i am sure that dc will be be as bad as new york |

... Everytime i fly with ram, i feel like i am back home already. I am also very glad that ram willbe flying out of dc. ram should consider other cities like Orlando, Miami, Atlanta... ram has been a prosperous company for decades and i wish ram success especially during this very difficult times and increased competition. Anyone who complains about ram must be someone who doe snot travel much, someone who can not accpet the reality of Morocco...or simply a great mind who loves lmirikan too much |

the maure I admire you high mile patriotism, but you know, La ram is a Moroccan company therefore you should be realistic. A direct flight from Chicago is unlikely. |

RAM flights I would fly from Dulles airport any day over JFK, easier to get around and less costly for food and drinks there. I was hoping the flight would be direct from Washington to Rabat, both are capitol cities and I'm sure that there is a demand for those flights. |

... thank you la RAM for having flights from DC, its is great news. Can we have a flight out of Chicago as well? As far as customer service and high fare prices, who cares, it's la RAM and everybody know our lovely and very customer service oriented Moroccan Comunity in the US:) Wishing all success to laRAM who will always remain a Moroccan Company therefore people should be realistic instead of making ridiculous negative comments. Even asking ram manager about customer service was the most stupid question to ask but laram manager handled it very well:) |

Thank You RAM for your proactive action Positive criticism is a instrumental tool to engage in constructive instrumental dialogue. When you have we should be very objective in our comments, the facts that RAM is considering to operate from Washington DC is good news and we should acknowledge and support this action. |

the maure I was expecting to hear some hard figures from the "study" conducted by Royal Air Maroc. Do they know how many Moroccans or Americans are traveling to Morocco? Why Washington? Any rationale for this choice? The manager mentioned the cost of operations, which is high in New York suggesting that Washington would be a more profitable location to RAM. It seems to me that RAM is rather shifting the costs to customers who have to travel to Washington. Look the transportations are already good in this country (USA) and what is needed is to improve them in Morocco. Instead of adding another departing location (close to the ambassador of Morocco), it would be nice if the arrival locations in Morocco are diversified, Ney York - casa, New York Fez or Meknes, Tangier, Marrakesh etc. Having to take the train (if you can call it a train) to Meknes is a horrible ordeal, while taking the plane from Boston to New York is piece of cake. We need more convenient arrival locations in Morocco not more departures from the US. |

Maman This is a good thing. RAM is opening lines of communication between the Moroccan consumer and itself. Ignoring the problem is not a solution. Even though talk is cheap but at least hearing La RAM recognizing that their is a problem is a positive sign and I hope that things works out all right for RAM and the Customer who always gets the short end of the stick. I do agree that it takes a long time to get things going in Morocco this is not something new. Lastly I like to remind folks that opening a flight from DC will solve a fraction of the issue, there are 10s of 1000s of Moroccans folks who live in the west coast. Ram should include the west coast in its so called study. |
