Destructive Criticism
By Jamal Laoudi

Like every time my brain itched
I picked a pen to scratch it
Vying to win this round
Even though it is not a contest

All sensors on
Not to miss a beat
Despite all the noise

Little people do not reach high
Effectively stuck below
Another puzzle, what's the answer?
Read what you can’t see
Not what the eyes observe

Of course I take chances
Prayers alone are not enough
Erring is trial
Never have I wanted to rise above it this much

You chose to fight me
Oh how I wish you had fought for them
Understanding can be a challenge for some
Reform is the answer

My message is really simple
I hope you find it
Now I leave, fearing you won¡¦t
Dreading to believe it’s the truth
