The video, which was screened for the media, showed violence and acts carried out by an organized militia against security forces. It shows citizens leaving the camp and violent individuals opposed the evacuation of the camp, threatening people with knives and incendiary gas bottles.
Individuals, who acted like paramilitary militias operating in the Sahel, attacked the security forces who were dismantling protest camp tents. Pictures also show militias getting their knives into the remains of some members of security forces killed during this intervention.

Madrid - A Spanish Think-tank, which specializes in relations between Spain and North African countries, called on the international community to break the media blackout imposed on the population held captive in the Tindouf camps (south-western Algeria).

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Committee says the available pieces of information confirm that the "polisario", upon the orders of Algeria, is still torturing Ould Sidi Mouloud and the false announcement of his release is part of a disinformation maneuver aimed at deceiving international human rights organizations.

The American administration’s low key approach in addressing Algiers stance on key issues related to American interests have raised eye brows in the region and has lead some observers to wonder if Washington has been adopting a “policy of appeasement” toward Algeria.
